Retevis RM40 is one of the few hand-held marine VHF radio with storage and navigation functions, which makes RM40 more functional and practical in the process of navigation, and it is convenient for users to store the geographical location at any time in the process of navigation. Here is a brief introduction to how to set this function.
Firstly, RM40 can store the position information of the ship as the waypoint, or the received position information of the DSC calling ship as the waypoint. The machine can store 50 waypoints, and each waypoint can be edited as a name with letters and numbers for easy identification. The name can be up to 10 characters.
Press and hold [WP] for 1 second to store waypoints and sound two prompt tones. After the waypoint is stored, the screen displays "waypoint was stored". If the GPS receiver has not received the position, the waypoint cannot be stored. If the aircraft has stored 50 waypoints, the new waypoint cannot be stored
Press [menu] to enter the menu interface, press [▲ / ▼] to select "waypoint" to enter the waypoint list interface, (press the software key [WP] to enter the waypoint list interface), press [▲ / ▼] to select the desired waypoint, and then press [OK] to confirm or press the software key to select the desired operation in the waypoint list interface.
Press [menu] to enter the menu interface, press [▲ / ▼] to select "waypoint" to enter the waypoint interface, press [▲ / ▼] to select the required waypoint, and then press [NAV] to start navigating to the waypoint.
